The Lord’s Prayer

My interpretation…

My FATHER, Abba, DADDY who lives in Heaven,

Your NAME, YHWH, is Holy.

Your Kingdom is in my midst, right HERE & NOW!

Connect Your will

-what is allowed in the Kingdom-

With this planet…and… ME, made of earth.

May the Kingdom I can’t see with my eyes

bleed into the one that is visible.

This VERY day, bestow on me epiousious

-the BREAD of necessity-

For I shall not live by bread alone, but every word, WORD, word of God.

Words that are alive and proceeding, even NOW,

out of His mouth.

Like manna –enough for each day only.

Release me from the debts that I owe,

just as I LET GO of the debts

owed to me by others.

Like the year of jubilee.

Lead me into you perfect will,

deliver me from the enemy’s plans to thwart that will.

You, O LORD rule the only true Kingdom,

Your Name carries power, and Your Glory outshines the heavens forever.

‘Call to Me and I will answer you, and tell you [and even show you] great and mighty things, [things which have been confined and hidden], which you do not know and understand and cannot distinguish.’

May 2018 be a year of call and response. We call, and the Lord responds with creative ideas, prophetic words, world changing discoveries and mind blowing Revelations. Selah.

Week 51

And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on ALL flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions. Even on the male and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit.

Joel 2:28-29

First of all, according to Peter, this pouring out process began on that day of Pentecost. But did it end there? A closer look at the verb phrase ‘pour out’ reveals that it is in the imperfect tense. “Imperfect” comes from the Latinimperfectus “unfinished”, because the imperfect expresses an ongoing, uncompleted action. Therefore it does not relate so much as to one occasion, as to a continued condition.

So He is still pouring out His Spirit; prophesying, visions, and dreams following.

But who is the beneficiary of this pouring out?

Uh-oh… All flesh means… every human being.

Hmm, doesn’t fit into my dogma. Or maybe my theology is wrong.

We don’t usually think we have access to other people’s dreams, but when someone creates a movie, song, book, poem or any other public piece, we sort of do. Something inspired them to create. Have you ever been to a secular movie and felt the presence of God, learned something that relates to Him or saw such beauty you glorified God in your heart? I have more often than not. What if God’s Spirit is speaking to His servants and the lost. After all, where can we hide from His Spirit?

How many versions of Superman do we need? Maybe enough that the Church will finally listen to the message that we aren’t merely men, but spiritual ‘superheroes’ and the world needs these Christ-followers to perform ‘greater works’ while reconciling mankind to the Father.

I am not a Bible scholar, but ‘all’ means all. So maybe it’s worth hearing what the Spirit has to say through His servants and those that don’t know Him yet.

Week 49

There will be times I fall on my face, but that just gives the Lord an opportunity to show His never-ending Love for me while hushing the enemy’s mocking laughter. For My Father, Yahweh, will cause me to rise again. He will be a light for me in dark places, when all other lights go out.

Micah 7:8

Rejoice not over me, O my enemy;

when I fall, I shall rise;

when I sit in darkness, the Lord will be a light to me.

He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love.

The Song of Solomon 2:4 ESV

I thought I knew this verse. I used to sing a song about it. But this version surprised me so I did a word study.

First of all the word translated ‘banqueting’ really means intoxicating wine, while what I thought was the word ‘table’ does indeed mean house or household. The word ‘banner’ is always translated ‘standard,’ especially meaning military standard, the flag being the rallying point for the troops or tribes.

So, remembering the context of the bride with her lover…

He brings me into his home of intoxication…

His military standard in battle is Love.

Just one train thought out of many… Could it depict the union between man and wife as a mirror of Jesus and His Bride, with the intoxicating Love between the two as a rallying point in the battle against the enemy.

Week 48

Have you ever pictured God getting slap-happy, giddy-excited? Like the kind of excited that many people in North Carolina would be if the Panthers won the Super Bowl?

Well, if I am reading Zephaniah 3:17 correctly, He is that excited to be able to inhabit His Temple again. This time I am that temple. His plan to deliver me from my enemy has worked. Through my champion Jesus, God has inscribed His Love for me permanently into the hands of His Son. So yeah, God is pretty excited about that.

Zephaniah 3:17

YHWH, the eternal God is in your inward parts (gereb)

a powerful champion (gibbor) who has caused your deliverance (yasha)

he cheerfully rejoices (suws) over you with exceeding joy (simchah);

he quiets you by the engraving (charash) of his sacrificial love;

he spins and dances (giyl) over you with loud singing (rinnah).

Week 47

Week 47

Then the angel who talked with me returned and woke me up, like someone awakened from sleep. He asked me, “What do you see?” I answered, “I see a solid gold lampstand with a bowl at the top and seven lamps on it, with seven channels to the lamps. Also there are two olive trees by it, one on the right of the bowl and the other on its left.” I asked the angel who talked with me, “What are these, my lord?” He answered, “Do you not know what these are?” “No, my lord,” I replied. So he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty. “What are you, mighty mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become level ground. Then he will bring out the capstone to shouts of ‘God bless it! God bless it!

Zechariah 4:1-7 NIV

Things I noticed in the whole chapter:

The high priest’s name is Yeshua (Joshua) meaning ‘He who saves.’

The Word of the Lord is for Zerubbabel, meaning ‘sown in Babylon,’ which represents sin.

Babylon was the site of Babel, where the Lord split one tongue into many.

The prophecy concerns the coming of One, another Yeshua, the light of the world. He would reconcile the two trees, Israel and gentiles, while the Spirit of the Lord would flow through them bringing His light to the world, through individual believers working in unity.

And so with the outpouring of Holy Spirit the division is reconciled as many tongues became one spiritual tongue, and Jesus is the capstone holding us all together.

Week 46

Week 46

In an evil and perverse generation, people need the hope of goodness more than ever. Thousands of years ago the prophet Malachi saw this and spoke words of hope to those who reverenced the NAME, YHWH.

Mal 4:2

“But for you who fear My NAME [with awe-filled reverence] the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings. And you will go forward and leap [joyfully] like calves [released] from the stall.”

I have read this verse many times, but my brain always translates ‘fear My Name’ as ‘fear the Lord’ and ‘sun’ as ‘Son.’

Fear the Lord’s Name…

What’s in a name? SHEM, the Hebrew word for ‘name,’ is more than just a label with which a person is called by. It is a representation of the character of the bearer, a remembrance of all He represents. His holy name being Yahweh, the Hebrews were afraid to vocalize it because they reverenced the holy righteousness His Name represented.

For those of us who reverence all that the Lord is…

The word, sun, is SHEMESH in Hebrew. It means brilliant radiance. Is it an accident that SHEM is built into that word? The brilliance of the Holy Name will shine forth…

With healing in its wings…

In context the word healing (or cure), should probably read deliverance. The word ‘wings’ means outer skirt which reminds me of Ruth.

Ruth 3:7-9 “She came secretly, uncovered his feet, and lay down. At midnight, Boaz was startled, turned over, and there lying at his feet was a woman! So he asked, “Who are you? ” “I am Ruth, your servant,” she replied. “Take me under your wing (outer skirt), for you are a family redeemer.”

And , because of your deliverance and redemption, you shall go out leaping like calves from a stall…
